The Strengthening Families Self-Assessment Tool (SFSA), administered to teams of administrative staff, direct service staff, community collaborators, and patrons who are active participants in our Resource Center programming, is a component of our project’s process evaluation. This tool assists in assessing the extent to which each of the Resource Centers have implemented services/activities to engage and strengthen families with respect to each of the protective factors. Upon completion of the instrument, each team met monthly for four months to discuss their responses and feedback. To highlight our findings, infographic reports for each site were created, summarizing how each of the Protective Factors are incorporated into services and programing at each of our Resource Centers, as well as recommended action items identified by team members, and plans for future and ongoing improvement.
