We are seeking a dedicated full time Community Development Specialist (CDS) to join our team and work closely with the Development Engagement team.  In this role, you will play a crucial part in fostering awareness and acceptance for Partnership for Strong Families by assisting in creating and communicating clear, concise, and consistent professional messages to agency stakeholders, staff, and the community at-large. The CDS will assists in developing and designing communication and promotional materials, donor correspondence, organization of seasonal donation drives, and will help facilitate certain agency programs including the Education Incentive Program. The CDS will report directly to the Director of Development and Engagement.

This is a full-time position and must be available Monday through Friday.

Location: Gainesville, Florida

Starting Salary: $19.02 $19.59 hourly

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

REQUIRED:

  • Associate’s degree in related field or current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program
  • At least two (2) years of coursework completed or equivalent;
  • One (1) year of relevant work or internship experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Creative experience in developing flyers, brochures, and online graphics desired.

Special Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop or Illustrator, Constant Contact or similar email marketing software preferred.
  • Possession of a valid, State of Florida driver’s license to operate the motor vehicle operated. Requirement exists at the time of hire and as a condition of continued employment.
