Race Equity Project

The Community Leadership Development Program is recruiting young people, ages 15-25, from various backgrounds within the community served by NSFRC to participate in a leadership development curriculum that is providing them with skills to implement social changes within their communities.   As part of the program, they are developing Equity Projects designed to promote equity and inclusion in their community. Engaging local teens has been a key focus at the NSFRC. In December 2021, the NSFRC hosted it’s first “Let’s Talk About It!” monthly event as part of this program, which invites these young people to engage in conversations about their experience in the Lake City community. Growing out of the “Let’s Talk About It!” monthly events, a youth council was created to engage and encourage youth to use their voices, develop projects, and obtain leadership skills through problem solving.

Child abuse is preventable
We can help change the lives of many children and teens.

A hallmark of PSF’s system of care is our belief that child abuse is preventable. We have found that by providing resources and supports to families in need on the front end, many can avoid reaching the crises that lead to formal child welfare involvement functions.

Monetary Donations

Monetary donations throughout the year are a huge help to the children we serve. We accept donations by check, which can be mailed to our office or through the Philanthropy Hub link here.
