PSF is always accepting applications for volunteers and interns. Due to confidentiality laws, volunteers/interns will not be able to work directly with families involved in our system; however, there are many other opportunities to help. Volunteers/Interns are accepted in our Community and Government Relations Department, at our Library Partnership Resource Center, SWAG Family Resource Center, Cone Park Library Resource Center, Tri-County Community Resource Center and on a case-by-case basis in other departments.
Opportunities include clerical work, event planning, support raising, advocacy, newsletter and awareness material creation, assisting patrons and completing satisfaction surveys at the resource centers and much more. We are flexible with hours, but do ask volunteers/interns to commit to a set period of time with our agency. For university students seeking course credit for an internship, we are happy to complete the necessary paperwork to fulfill academic requirements. In compliance with state law, all volunteers/interns are subject to fingerprints, criminal background screens and drug screens.
