GAINESVILLE, FLA – Partnership for Strong Families’ (PSF) network of Resource Centers announced today that they have plans to remain open through the remainder of this week and next week to continue meeting the needs of the community. Locations include the Library Partnership Resource Center, SWAG Family Resource Center, Cone Park Library Resource Center and the Tri-County Community Resource Center.

To help ensure public safety, staff will be taking additional precautions for Resource Center Visitors including a brief risk screening before allowing participation in on-site services, eliminating group activities involving more than 10 participants and changing the format of some services, such as food distribution, to reduce patron contact with one another.

“As we all work diligently to support the community during the existing pandemic, PSF’s Resource Centers will continue to be open to the community with minimal limitations in place. Safety is our priority, and we are taking all of the necessary precautions,” stated Pebbles Edelman, Senior VP of Clinical and Community Services for Partnership for Strong Families. “Families do not stop needing help during times of crises, and we will be open to provide that help as long as it is safe to do so.”

Child abuse is preventable
We can help change the lives of many children and teens.

A hallmark of PSF’s system of care is our belief that child abuse is preventable. We have found that by providing resources and supports to families in need on the front end, many can avoid reaching the crises that lead to formal child welfare involvement functions.
