Are you passionate about helping children learn, grow, and succeed? The part-time Academic Enrichment Coordinator leads SWAG Family Resource Center’s after-school academic and enrichment program during the nine-month school year, creating a positive and engaging environment where students build academic skills and confidence. This role combines direct student support in a small group setting, lesson planning, family engagement, and collaboration with schools and community partners to help children and families thrive.
Partnership for Strong Families, Inc. is seeking a part-time Academic Enrichment Coordinator to join our SWAG Family Resource Center team. As the Academic Enrichment Coordinator, you’ll assist with the implementation of SWAG’s Academic and Enrichment Program, serving children and youth during the approximate nine-month academic school year.
The position is grant-funded, reports to the SWAG Family Resource Center Manager, and is scheduled for up to 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, including after-school hours and dedicated time for lesson planning, preparation, and program coordination.
What You’ll Do:
- Use a collaborative approach to plan and execute developmentally appropriate and culturally relevant activities for participating students, with a focus on literacy.
- Create and maintain a learning environment that is conducive to successful instruction, including decisions about structure, organization, and course activities that support students by managing their expectations and behaviors.
- Collaborate with resource center manager to refer children with learning differences or mental health needs and/or trauma to appropriate services.
- Develop and maintain professional, positive relationships with families by regularly communicating student progress, actively encouraging parent/caregiver participation in program activities, and connecting families with relevant support services as needed.
- Monitor student progress and educational needs through contact with schools, including phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
What You Bring:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in a closely related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience in a traditional classroom or youth program setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- An understanding of child development and risk factors that may lead to child abuse and neglect.
- Possession of a valid, State of Florida driver’s license for the occasional operation of a motor vehicle, to include a 15-passenger van. Requirement exists at the time of hire and as a condition of continued employment.

Salary Range: $22.49 to $23.08 an hour
