Medicaid Doctors
There are many medical providers who accept Medicaid, likely even the child’s current physician. Here is a list provided to us by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). It has not been verified if these physicians are accepting current patients, but it will serve as a good starting point in finding a clinic that accepts Medicaid. When making an appointment be sure to ask the physician’s office if they participate in the Medicaid plan the child is enrolled in, and if so, is the child assigned to them. Your FCC can assist you if you are not sure about plan enrollment and provider assignment. Remember to keep your FCC informed of all doctor’s visits or immunization appointments. They also need to know if the child is prescribed any medications so they can update the child’s official case record.
Medicaid Dentists
It can often be hard to find a dental provider who accepts Medicaid. This list of dental providers is supplied to us by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and is believed to be current. You should schedule an appointment for your child as soon as possible upon them coming in to your home, as these practices often have waiting lists for new patients and schedule far in advance. Please provide your case manager with any updates regarding dental visits and treatments needed so they can update the child’s official record.
