FIRST
FIRST stands for Families Involved in Reaching Success Together and is the parenting program the Library Partnership piloted. It is a six week program for parents and parents-to-be of all life stages. Participants gain vital knowledge in child development, discipline, health, nutrition and safey. Parents who complete the program will receive lifelong skills to strengthen their families forever. Participants who successfully complete the program are eligible to earn incentives for their family. Additionally, they are able to apply for assistance programs such as Medicaid and food stamps at the center.
"I am thankful for the support and knowledge that I have received through FIRST. It came at the right moment for our family." - Program Participant
