Carressa Hutchinson
A native Floridian, Carressa Hutchinson is our Library Partnership’s Neighborhood Resource Center manager. A graduate of Eastside High school, Carressa relocated to West Palm Beach to obtain her bachelor’s degree at Florida Atlantic University. After six years Carressa moved back to Gainesville and obtained her master’s degree in Human Services. Among her favorite things to do during her spare time are kayaking, traveling and fishing.  She says, “My hobbies help me to reflect and bring focus to the priorities in my life.” Carressa has more than 20 years of experience working for the Gainesville community. “The Library Partnership gives people an opportunity to come together to have a good time and receive support and assistance.” When asked about her goals for the Library Partnership she answered, “My biggest goal is to get the community and business partners more involved with the resource center, to increase awareness about our work, and to be able to replicate around the nation what has proven to strengthen the community.” Carressa is a loving and supportive mother to her son and a very passionate worker who is always looking for opportunities to make positive changes in the community.

Angelica Suarez

Angelica Suarez was born in Medellin, Colombia and moved to the United States during her teenage years. She became the Library Partnership’s family support facilitator in December of 2010. When asked what she likes most about the Library Partnership she answered, “The people, and being able to see an impact on their lives once they receive our support.” Before working with the Library Partnership, Angelica led an international nonprofit organization. Angelica attained her bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida and her master’s degree at Syracuse University. Much of her spare time is dedicated to creating awareness about the importance of education in the lives of children locally and abroad. She enjoys cooking, dancing, reading, and spending time with her lovely daughter and caring husband.
